DAWN
Domestic Abuse Wellness Network
Objective - On average, it takes seven attempts for someone to permanently leave an abuser. Many who try face a lack of support, financial resources, and a safe place to go, and they often fear for their safety. The complexity of these factors often makes it difficult for individuals to leave, as they often navigate these obstacles with limited help.
Approach - DAWN (The Domestic Abuse Wellness Network) is meant to help guide people through leaving their abuse permanently and safely, with personalized help. The network has a wide range of resources, designed to be able to tackle any problem someone might face. The most unique resources are the one-on-one caseworkers, who are trained to guide individuals through the process while connecting them to DAWN’s resources.
Execution - This project began with extensive research on the audience, competition, and complex struggles involved in domestic violence. DAWN’s website shows the extent of the network’s resources. The resources are clearly laid out and easy to navigate. The wide range of resources provide assistance at any stage and with varying degrees of help.
